Overview
The DATC system maintains the selected vehicle interior temperature
by heating and/or cooling the air depending on the HVAC control panel
selection.

The driver may override the automatic mode of operation.

The temperature control setting is the desired cabin air temperature.

The blower motor control override buttons vary the blower motor speed.

The driver and passenger temperature settings can be individually controlled.

During A/C operation, the system reduces the relative humidity of the air inside the vehicle.
Vehicles equipped with Auto Start-Stop contain a cabin heater coolant pump to help coolant flow to the heater core.

Reduced Engine Performance
WARNING: If you continue to drive
your vehicle when the engine is
overheating, the engine could stop without
warning. Failure to follow this instruction
could result in the loss of control of your
vehicle.
If the engine coolant temperature gauge
needle moves to the upper limit position, the

Opening the Hood
Inside the vehicle, pull the hood release
handle located under the left-hand side
of the instrument panel.
Slightly lift the hood.
Release the hood latch by pushing the
secondary release lever to your left-hand
side.
Open the hood. The hood struts
automatically supports the hood.
Closing the Hood
Lower the hood until it engages on to the
secondary latch.
