Removal

NOTICE: Electronic modules are sensitive to static electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damage may result.

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Vehicles equipped with subwoofer

  1. Remove the subwoofer and amplifier unit.
    Refer to: Subwoofer and Amplifier Unit (415-00 Information and Entertainment System - General Information - Vehicles With: SYNC 4, Removal and Installation).

Vehicles without subwoofer

  1. Remove the RH loadspace trim panel.
    Refer to: Loadspace Trim Panel (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).

All vehicles

  1. NOTE: The VDM is mounted to the RH side of the luggage compartment behind the loadspace trim panel.

    1. Disconnect the VDM electrical connectors.
    1. Remove the VDM retainers and the VDM .
      Torque: 13 lb.in (1.5 Nm)

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. Calibrate the VDM . Connect the scan tool and carry out the Ride Height Calibration routine. Follow the scan tool directions.
