Lincoln Nautilus: Handles, Locks, Latches and Entry Systems / Hood Latch. Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. NOTE: Some vehicles are equipped with a grille shutter assembly framework only. These vehicles will not have a grille shutter actuator or a grille shutter linkage.

   Remove the active grille shutter.
   Refer to: Active Grille Shutter (501-02 Front End Body Panels, Removal and Installation).

   Remove the hood latch.
   
   1. Disconnect the hood ajar switch electrical connector.
      
   2. Detach the hood ajar switch electrical connector locator clip.
      
   3. Remove the hood latch nuts.
      Torque: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)
   4. Disconnect the hood latch release cable from the hood latch.
      
   5. Remove the hood ajar switch harness from the routing tab and remove the hood latch.
      

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
