Lincoln Nautilus: Climate Control System - General Information / Heater Core. Removal and Installation
Removal
NOTE:
If a heater core leak is suspected, the heater core must be leak tested before it is removed from the vehicle.

Remove the climate control housing.
Refer to: Climate Control Housing (412-00)

Remove the heater tube dash panel seal.

Remove the retainers, release the clip and position the heater tube bracket aside.

Disconnect the driver side temperature door actuator
and the air distribution door actuator electrical connectors.

Detach the retainer and position the wire harness aside.

Remove the heater core.
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Overview
The generator is driven by the FEAD belt. When the engine is
started, the generator begins to generate AC voltage which is internally
converted to DC voltage. The DC voltage is controlled by the voltage
regulator and supplied to the battery. The PCM controls the voltage
regulator set point, communicating with the generator internal voltage
regulator over a dedicated LIN communicatio..
