Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Remove the liftgate trim panel.
    Refer to: Liftgate Trim Panel (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
  1. Disconnect the electrical connector and position aside the wiring harness.
  1. Remove the bolts and the luggage compartment lid latch.
    Torque: 177 lb.in (20 Nm)

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. If equipped with a power liftgate, perform the power liftgate initialization. Refer to: Power Liftgate Initialization (501-03 Body Closures, General Procedures).
