Lincoln Nautilus: Exterior Lighting / Adaptive Front Lighting Module. Removal and Installation
Removal

Remove the headlamp assembly.
Refer to: Headlamp Assembly (417-01 Exterior Lighting, Removal and Installation).

Remove the screws and position the adaptive front lighting module to access the connectors.

Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the adaptive front lighting module.
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE:
Carry out this step only when an adaptive front lighting module is being replaced.
Using the VCM and IDS software, connect the diagnostic
scan tool and execute the “LIN New Module Initialization” routine using
the following path: Electrical> Service Functions> LIN New Module
Initialization. Follow the diagnostic scan tool directions.

NOTE:
Carry out this step only when an adaptive front lighting module is being replaced.
Using the VCM and IDS software, connect the diagnostic
scan tool and execute the “LED Lamp Driver Module Initialization”
routine using the following path: Electrical> Service Functions>
LED Lamp Driver Module Initialization. Follow the diagnostic scan tool
directions.

Do not press, pull or otherwise move the brake pedal while
installing the stoplamp switch and cruise control deactivation switch.
Install these switches with the booster push rod attached to the brake
pedal and with the brake pedal in the at-rest position...
