Lincoln Nautilus: Wipers and Washers / Windshield Wiper Pivot Arm. Removal and Installation

General Equipment
Removal

Remove windshield wiper pivot arm nut covers.

Remove windshield wiper pivot arm nuts.
-
NOTE:
LH shown, RH similar.
Remove the wiper pivot arm(s).
Use the General Equipment: Two Leg Puller
Installation
-
Verify the windshield wiper motor is in the PARK position.
-
Turn the ignition ON.
-
Pull the switch down to cycle the windshield wiper motor.
-
Turn the ignition OFF.
-
NOTE:
The hood is removed in this step for clarity.
Install the wiper pivot arm(s).
-
Align the wiper blade(s) within the marks on the windshield.
-
Install the wiper pivot arm nut(s).
Torque:
22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

Install the windshield wiper pivot arm nut covers.
Removal

NOTE:
The engine running diagnostic mode is a hybrid powertrain
control module strategy which is separate from the normal operating
strategy. The specifics described here are applicable only to the
power-split hybrid variants. When in this mode, the engine is running
and does not turn off, as it does during normal operation...
Check
NOTE:
No factory-equipped vehicle should have more than a 25 mA
(0.025 amp) – 50 mA (0.050) draw depending on the vehicle's accessories.
Check for current drains on the battery in excess of 25 mA (0.025 amp) –
50 mA (0.050) with all the electrical accessories off and the vehicle
at rest for at least 75 minutes (depending on region)...
