Lincoln Nautilus: Front Seats / Front Seat Backrest Blower Motor. Removal and Installation
Removal
NOTE:
Driver seat shown, passenger seat similar.

Depower the SRS .
Refer to: Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering (501-20B)

Detach the electrical connector retainers and position the wiring harnesses aside.

Detach the backrest cover straps.
-
Position the backrest cover upward.
-
Release the backrest cover lower J-clips.
-
NOTICE:
To install, gradually alternate the left and right
seat backrest cover zippers to prevent damage to the seat backrest
cover.
Both sides.
Unzip the seat backrest cover and position the cover upward.

NOTE:
Components may be removed for clarity.
-
Detach and disconnect the electrical connector.
-
Detach the retainer and position the wiring harness aside.
-
Detach the front seat backrest blower motor strap J-hooks.
-
NOTE:
Components may be removed for clarity.
Remove the front seat backrest blower motor.
-
Detach the J-hook.
-
Detach the retaining clips.
Installation
-
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
-
Repower the SRS .

The object used in this system check can be
fabricated using a 9 cm diameter (3 in I.D.) pipe, 100 cm (39 in) in
length (available as Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) pipe, or similar from a
hardware or plumbing supply.
NOTE:
The following system check should be carried out with the vehicle on a level surface...
